How To Use Thermacell Backpacker

Thermacell backpacker review and how to use

If you plan to go on a camping trip, you need to know how to use Thermacell Backpacker Mosquito Repeller because it is an essential piece of camping equipment.  As the Backpacker Repeller is a compact and lightweight piece of gear. It is the most appropriate for those who want to keep away from pesky mosquitoes during camping. The repeller uses the same camping gas canisters (not included) that backpackers and campers likely have in their bags already.

How To Use Thermacell Backpacker

The two-part system consists of a tiny device that looks like a hiking stove that screws onto the top of an isobutane gas canister and a blue pad of repellant that slots into the top to be safe from mosquitoes.

The process is quite simple.

You have to flip the lever to use the ignitor button, keep waiting until the backpacker is heated, and create a 15-foot radius to take action for repelling mosquitoes. These pads contain allethrin extracted from the chrysanthemum plant. Every product has several pads, and each pad lasts up to 4 hours. There’s no bad odor or smoke, no risk for fire or injury (the unit doesn’t get all that hot).

You can also notice the color difference while using. The pad’s color is deep blue, but later it turns white after use.  The Backpacker version has four pads. These are easy to replace. You can then slide out your soiled pad and replace it with a fresh one when one turns white. Unless you use a separate gas canister, you should not buy this because it does not provide a gas canister, and without a gas canister, you can not use this. If already you have, this backpacker is for you.

It uses a powerful butane gas cartridge that creates a 15-foot zone of protection from mosquitoes.
